Qatar National Sports Day is an annual event held by Qatar Embassy with the theme of sports and friendship. This year, the event was held at Hall A Basketball Gelora Bung Karno on 11 February 2020. AR&Co. is honored to supporting this event and presenting two sports-tech experience booth – Interactive Treadmill and Catch The Coin Game.
Enthusiasm from Qatar Embassy and visitor were very visible when they play both game and they said it was very fun and interesting experience.
In Collaboration with AR&Co, Sand Sculpting Australia presents the World’s First Sand Sculpting Augmented Reality Experience at the Graeme Base’s ANIMALIA IN SAND
Sand Sculpting Australia and Boneo Discovery Park have collaborated with AR&Co to enhance the Sand Sculpting exhibition with Augmented Reality technologies for the visitors to experience.
Through 26 giant sand sculptures created by some of the world’s most renowned sand sculptors combined with Augmented Reality, visitors will be able to see the much-loved classic children’s book by Graeme Base come alive.
ANIMALIA IN SAND exhibition will run from December 14th 2019 to April 30th 2020 at Boneo Discovery Park on the Mornington Peninsula.

Faber-Castell ‘Color to Life’ application was awarded as the winner of Excellent Communications Design Apps category during The German Design Award 2020
The German Design Awards is the German Design Council’s premium international prize and is one of the world’s most renowned design competitions. With over 5,400 entries submitted for the German Design Awards 2019, the competition has again shown pleasing growth. Product and project submissions were received from 63 countries, with the share of international entries reaching 54 percent. At the German Design Awards, recognition is given exclusively to projects that are groundbreaking in the German and international design landscape. The competition rewards the best entries in the categories “Excellent Product Design”, “Excellent Communications Design” and the new category, “Excellent Architecture”.
With the spirit of ‘Innovation & Creativity’ as one of its brand values, Faber Castell always strive to explore various new and relevant solutions for its consumers. With this in mind, and looking at how the trend in the industry has evolved, Faber-Castell ‘Color to Life’ was developed. “The fascinating app combines the analogue colouring book with the 3D digital world of augmented reality. A wonderfully animated colouring and play activity that delights not only children, but also parents.” stated by the Jury of The German Design Awards.
Through this app, Faber-Castell succesfully brings the magic out of the traditional drawing book into the animated digital world of augmented reality. This app was developed collaboratively with AR&Co, one of the leading AR developer headquartered in Jakarta, to truly make characters jump off the page and into the digital realm using mobile devices. The app offers five games and characters to choose from where each can move around on top of the drawing book. Each of the characters shall appear as it is colored by the children, and can be used to play in its own game.

WIR Group is proud to be selected to represent and showcase Indonesia’s digital future at the prestigious World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2019 in Davos, Switzerland.
The theme for this upcoming World Economic Forum Annual is Globalization 4.0 in which the forum aims to shape the world in preparation for the fourth industrial revolution.
Indonesia is one of the largest digital frontier and WIR Group will be showcasing Indonesia’s digital reality, creativity and advancement in the Indonesia Pavilion. The Indonesia Pavilion is organized by Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board BKPM and supported by other ministries and government agencies. The Pavilion is open from 22-25 January 2019 from 8am until 8pm. The Pavilion will hold meetings and to get visitors to get a feel and experience Indonesia today and its future.
The look and feel of the Indonesia Pavilion will be dominated by the color red, with patterns similar to batik yet containing design elements inspired by technology, also provided by WIR Group. The Indonesia Pavilion is located on the Promenade 57, in the middle of the ski-resort town of Davos-Klosters. WIR Group will have a section in the Indonesia Pavilion in which we will show Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and also bringing our latest app MINAR. Get ready to mine and collect coins in the eastern side of the Alpine mountains, in freezing temperatures.

Surya explained that WIR have two business pillars: Branding and Technology. ‘DMID is our brand consulting firm that serves blue-chip brands and has won Rebrand 100 Global Awards for a number of years. For technology, we have three different units’.
First is AR&Co, their AR developer firm that was considered as one of the first adopters of the technology in the region.
Next is DAV. This offers intelligent media placement solutions in high-traffic places such as retails. ‘DAV has previously been deployed around 4,000 units nationwide, and now we will deploy 10,000 of its new generation device with new features such as transactions and Internet of Things together in collaboration with a listed company based in Shanghai, ESIM’.
The third company is MINDSTORES, offering platforms to empower prosumers. ‘This means that now you can become a virtual store owner of a well-known brand with small investments, no inventory burdens, and no logistics hassle’. Currently with around 100,000 downloads, Mindstores has partnered with Alfamart, one of the biggest minimarket chains in Indonesia, Kimia Farma, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies there, and Indihome by Telkom Indonesia as home cable provider.

So, as a company, WIR and its digital reality offerings believes in real-world applications of the technology that can be used in today’s market mostly by engaging brands and corporations directly with consumers through digital reality interactions. ‘We’re also preparing ourselves to be more active and be game-changers in blockchain technology by launching an application, namely, MINAR’.
